Last year, a separate study found intermittent fasting can send you to an early grave because of the breakfast boycott.
The study, published in the journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, determined that skipping breakfast is associated with a higher risk of dying from cardiovascular disease.
Meanwhile, research published by the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine last April also affirmed that intermittent fasting failed to produce better weight-loss results than simple calorie counting.
A regimen of time-restricted eating was not more beneficial with regard to reduction in body weight, body fat or metabolic risk factors than daily calorie restriction, the study authors wrote.

Pair that with motivation to do intermittent fasting and Ive lost 8 pounds in the last week and a half. Im gonna keep going and Ill come back to this review and update my progress every 10 pounds. Tim Spector, professor at Kings College London, described calorie counting as complete nonsense in an interview on The Diary of a CEO With Steven Bartlett podcast last week.
There has never been any long-term study showing that calorie counting is an effective way to lose weight and maintain weight loss after the first few weeks, the dietitian declared.
Meanwhile, the Johns Hopkins researchers conceded that their six-month-long study still left them with questions about the potential benefits of timerestricted eating patterns, especially the challenges with maintaining this eating behavior.

This app is wonderful. I just recently started using it, and I find it to be very helpful. It not only helps with fasting , it also helps with tracking how much water your drinking/gives you reminders to drink water if youd like, gives tips on fasting, can track your steps, and gives you a lot of information on fasting in simple little slides. I am very impressed with the free version of this app, and upgrading to premium doesnt even cost that much. I believe it was around $3.33/month or something like that for premium. Currently I dont intend to switch, but it is something I could see myself doing as I get more into fasting. Im happy with how this app is set up as well, its easy to navigate, is well put together, and is very beginner friendly. I suggest this app for beginners and serious fasters alike 🙂

I love this simple app! Very easy to use/set-up, and I appreciate the notifications telling me, for example, that Im 75% through my daily goal. It also keeps a log of past data, allowing you to look back at prior days in your journey. Great App And Helpful People
Im no newbie to IF, but the features of this app intrigued me. They initially ask you questions to recommend not only what fasting window you would benefit most from, but also provide meal plans! Although the recipes dont change currently, Kate was very responsive with my recommendation to adding more to the meal plans. They also offer plenty of tips, additional recipes, and a community to ensure your success! I love this app and highly recommend it. The only other thing I would recommend is that the developers eventually all integration to MFP. Because I use both for my fitness journey and end up entering my water twice. MFP allows for more accurate tracking where this app only allows you to enter it in 8 oz intervals.

Love It Helpful And Encouraging
Ive wanted to change my habit of over eating and develop self discipline. They say when you control what you eat, you can control your world. The app without the Fastic plus has been amazing! There were times I wanted to give up and give in to the foods when my family would eat very late at night but it seems to know when you need encouragement. So far, Ive been drinking more water, eating more veggies, and read valuable lessons that I have applied to my life. I have very little self control when it comes to food, especially meat.
