For the first two days during your water fasting phase, all you lose is the water weight. The fats start to burn from the 3rd day of water fasting phase. Boredom. Fasters love to talk about the energy and the fasting high. A few also honestly discuss the boredom that occurs.

What Are The Risks Of Water Fasting

Research published in the journal BMC Complementary Medicine Therapies showed that the most common adverse events from water fasting include:

  • Quality of life problems like fatigue
  • Heart problems like high blood pressure
  • Musculoskeletal problems like arthritis
  • Gastrointestinal problems like colitis, gastritis, and constipation

The part that was the most interesting to me was the fasting period of 14 hours and sometimes 15 hours. I did not realize how many time I get a snack or nibble on something until these past 30 days.
